Come and visit the "Thalassa" ship in Brest on June 13.

Group "Finistère"

Don't miss the chance to discover this 75m vessel, specialized in physical oceanography!

This event is co-organized by GENAVIR, DFCG FINISTÈRE and IGR Alumni.

Delivered in 1996, Thalassa is a 75-meter-long vessel whose activities focus on population ecology and the assessment of species exploited in the English Channel, Bay of Biscay and North Sea.
Equipped with fish-finding echosounders and trawling capacity for these campaigns, she was also designed as a multi-purpose vessel capable of carrying out physical oceanography campaigns.

Its primary missions concern fisheries:
- population ecology ;
- assessment of exploited species
- study of the spatiotemporal distribution of resources;
- catching and product processing techniques.

We will be welcomed on board the ship at 6pm sharp, at the Port of Brest
1 avenue de Kiel, 29200 Brest
